WAYS TO GIVE

OUR MISSION
The mission of Empowerment Temple is to
“Empower the World through the Word.”
Our ministry is focused on empowering believers spiritually, developing them educationally, exposing them culturally, activating them politically and strengthening them economically.
OUR HISTORY
The Reverend Dr. Jamal Harrison Bryant is the founder of Empowerment Temple African Methodist Episcopal Church, the fastest growing church in the history of the AME denomination.
The church started with 43 members and opened on Easter Sunday, April 23, 2000 in a downtown Baltimore catering hall. Due to phenomenal growth of over 5000 members in its first two years, the church relocated several times, first to Coppin State University, then to Walbrook Senior High School. On February 15, 2000 Empowerment Temple moved into its sanctuary located at 4217 Primrose Ave.
